Frequently Asked Questions

How isolated is Meemure village and what are the roads like?

Meemure is one of Sri Lanka's most secluded rural mountain villages, accessed via narrow winding mountain tracks beyond Hunnasgiriya and Corbett's Gap. The remote setting preserves its authentic culture and untouched natural surroundings.

What should I wear for river trekking and water activities?

Wear quick-drying clothes and footwear with good grip on wet rocks, such as strap-on water sandals or sturdy sneakers you don't mind getting wet.

Are meals suitable for vegetarians?

Yes. Authentic village meals in Meemure feature fresh local vegetables, lentils, wild yams, and homegrown rice. Please inform your trekking team in advance of any dietary preferences.
